Street Stories is a Nagaland-Shillong-based three-piece
Indian Pop-Punk band. The band, which formed in 2010,
is known for their high-energy live performances. Having
been around for almost 15 years now, with one LP, three
EP releases and a few singles up their sleeves, Street
Stories, is known to be one of India’s finest pop punk
bands, and ready to raise a ruckus and make you want
to jump at any SHOW they play at.
Akhrieze’s artistry is profoundly influenced by her Classical
background. Beginning her journey with classical piano lessons
at the age of eight, she built a solid musical foundation that
continues to shape her creative process today.
This early training not only refined her technical skill but also
instilled in her a deep appreciation for structure, harmony, and
emotion – qualities that subtly weave their way into her
compositions. Many of her unreleased pieces still bear the
imprint of these classical roots, resonating with intricate
melodies and timeless undertones.
She recently released her debut single, “awful lot,” a song
that fully captures her artistry—entirely written and
composed by her. It marks the start of her musical journey,
giving listeners a first look into her distinctive sound and
creative vision.
At heart, an artist and musician, they find meaning in the quiet beauty of life’s simplest moments. Rooted in a deep sense of faith and guided by The Word, their journey is one of intention, reflection, and expression.
Their work is inspired by the gentle art of living embracing simplicity, celebrating creativity, and finding joy in both sound and silence. Through art and music, they seek to connect, to inspire, and to encourage a more mindful and sustainable way of life.
